This page describes what happens to your data when you use this website. The KinHolo app has its own privacy notice, shown inside the app, because it holds far more of your life than a website should.
Who is responsible
The controller for this website is KinHolo, whose details are on the imprint. Questions and requests about your data go to omnikin.app@gmail.com.
What we collect, and why
Visiting the site
The pages are static files. The server that delivers them keeps a short-lived technical log of requests (the address requested, the time, the response code, and the connection's IP address) so that faults and abuse can be diagnosed. Those logs are kept for no more than fourteen days. This site sets no cookies and loads nothing from third parties: the fonts are served from this domain, and there are no advertising or social-media scripts.
We count visits with Vercel Web Analytics, the measurement built into the service that hosts this site. It sets no cookie and stores nothing on your device. Each visit is counted under a hash made from the request that is discarded within a day, so the count cannot follow you across sites or from one day to the next. What we see is aggregate: how many visits, which pages, which countries and which kinds of device. Never who.
The waitlist
When you join the waitlist we store what you enter: your name, email address, and, if you give them, where you are, your household size, the module you chose and your message. We use it for one purpose: to tell you when early access reaches your region, and to decide which regions and modules to open first. The legal basis is your consent, given when you submit the form. Entries are kept until early access has opened in your region and you have been told, or until you ask us to delete yours.
The monthly letter
Subscribing sends one confirmation email to the address you gave; nothing else is sent until you open the link in it. Once confirmed, we send at most one letter a month, and every letter carries a link to leave. We store your address, when you subscribed and when you confirmed. Unconfirmed addresses are deleted after 48 hours.
Email you send us
If you write to one of our addresses, we keep the correspondence for as long as it takes to deal with it, and for up to a year afterwards in case it continues.
Who else sees it
Nobody, other than the providers we need to run the site: the hosting provider that runs the server, and the email provider that delivers our messages. Each acts on our instructions under a data-processing agreement, and none may use your data for anything of its own. We do not sell, rent or trade data, we do not profile you, and we show no advertising.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may ask us at any time what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, ask for a copy in a portable form, object to our using it, or withdraw consent you gave earlier. Write toomnikin.app@gmail.com and we will answer within a month. You also have the right to complain to a data-protection authority; in Germany that is the authority of the state where we are based, listed on the imprint.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Nothing we do with data collected under an earlier version will be widened without asking you first.
