We are building the tool our own households needed.
KinHolo started as a small question. Why does the software for the most coordinated thing most of us do, running a home, feel like an afterthought?
The story
It began with a fridge list and a missed appointment.
Two shops, the same bag of rice bought twice, and a dentist appointment that only one person knew about. None of it was anybody's fault. The information simply had nowhere sensible to live.
We looked at what was available. The good tools were expensive bundles of separate apps. The free ones were paid for with advertising, built on data about children, health and money. And almost all of them assumed a new phone and a fast connection, which quietly writes off a large part of the world.
So KinHolo is deliberately the other thing: one app, one login per person, free to start, subscription-funded, and designed to be useful on a five-year-old Android with two bars of signal.
Two regions, one product
We design for the European Union and for Africa at the same time, not as a launch market and a later translation. Phone-number sign-in, offline tolerance and mobile-money awareness come from that choice.
Funded by households, not advertisers
Freemium moving to subscription. It is a slower business to build, and it is the only model that lets us promise no profiling and mean it.

Who is behind KinHolo.
Jenipher Eze-Kiergaßner
Jenipher is a senior product manager with an MBA from the University of Hull, based in Germany and originally from Nigeria, with more than seven years spent in software engineering, building B2B SaaS and marketplace products across European and African markets.
KinHolo started at her own kitchen table, where her husband, who happily calls himself the family errand boy, kept asking for one reliable place to keep the weekly grocery list. The more she talked with friends running equally busy households, the clearer it became that families everywhere wanted a calmer way to stay organised, so she set out to build it.

How we work
Four rules we do not bend.
Privacy first, every time
If a feature needs profiling to work, we do not build the feature.
Low-end devices are the baseline
We test on inexpensive Android phones and intermittent data, not on the newest handset.
Calm over clever
No streaks, no points, no badges. Household software should lower the temperature.
Specify before we build
Every module is written up in full, including what it deliberately will not do.
